What you get from our quarterly pest control…
#1 A Thorough Inspection
A state licensed pest control technician will arrive at your home and discuss with you any pest problems you may be having. The technician will then begin his inspection of the area. He looks for insects, signs of insects, signs of rodents, and harborage areas.
Your Active technician will identify the pests that are invading your home because different pests need different control techniques. If your Active technician can’t identify the pest, he may collect a sample and turn it over to an entomologist to identify.
The technician will look for signs of different types of pests including:
- American cockroaches
- Smokey brown cockroaches
- Oriental cockroaches
- Pill bugs
- Other pests
#2 A Crack And Crevice Treatment
Most insects find their way into your home through cracks in your home. The technician will perform a crack and crevice product application in areas that allow pests into your home. These areas are typically under sinks, around appliances, counters, windowsills, and the garage depending on what issues the technician discovers while conducting the inspection.
#3 Mice Control (If Needed)
Your technician will look for signs of rodents like droppings, harborage areas, and chewed or torn materials. He will search under sinks, in closets, and in food storage areas for rodent signs.
If your technician finds rodents, he will discuss different control choices with you. Usually, sticky glue boards will be placed where rodents are active. Glue boards are effective because rodents are nocturnal creatures of habit that travel the same path every night.
Rodents are afraid of new items blocking its normal path and it may take several nights before the rodent is comfortable enough to enter the glue board. Each following visit, your Active technician will check glue boards and look for new rodent signs.
Your Active technician may also recommend to lessen the likelihood of having a recurring rodent infestation. These recommendations will probably include lessening nesting areas, addressing sanitation issues, and lessening food sources.
#4 A Protective Barrier Around Your Home
The first crack and crevice product application should expel any pests already indoors. But it doesn’t stop new pests from entering your home. Our external control technique will prevent pests from entering your home at all. Your Active technician will put a protective barrier around your home that repels and controls pests.
#5 Cobwebs And Spider Webs Removed
Spiders are a blessing and curse. They control unwanted pests, but they build unseemly webs and can be dangerous. Your Active technician will remove any webs on the outside your house and in your garage.
This serves two purposes:
- It keeps your home and garage looking great
- It removes spider eggs and reduces the number of spiders in and around your home
If you have a problem between appointments…
Simply pick up the phone and call us. We will send your Active technician back to your home to develop and carry out a pest control plan for the problem area. We don’t like it when pests find their way into your home and we will work hard to address the issue.
Sometimes pests are well, real pests. Certain issues may not be visible the first time we visit your home. For example, ants living in the gutter or American cockroaches in the attic or crawlspace. Your Active technician will work to identify the source of the problem and resolve it as quickly as possible..

Our philosophy: science and training
Our philosophy is different from most pest control companies. We don’t just spray your house down with chemical and hope for the best. We incorporate a scientific approach to pest control called Integrated Pest Management. The University of Georgia and Georgia Department of Agriculture have researched Integrated Pest Management and recommend it to consumers.
We prepare out technicians for any issue through regular training. We also have specialized teams trained to address large infestations of rodents, german cockroaches, and bed bugs. Our Quality Control Team Leader Ted Lieb provides oversight of these teams.
You will have a technician skilled in identifying and controlling pest at every appointment. Our Integrated Pest Management philosophy includes a five-step process to addressing pest problems:
- A thorough inspection
- Identification of pest(s)
- Recommendations for treatments, sanitation, as well as mechanical or structural modifications and discussion with you the owner
- Evaluation of results through follow-up
