ATLANTA – June 29, 2016 — Active Pest Control is proud to name Glen C. Ramsey, BCE, as the 2016 winner of the James L. Allgood Jr. Award.
Recognized as a respected leader both within the company, as well as the pest management industry, Glen Ramsey has worked hard to earn this accolade. He says, “I am passionate about sharing my love of the world of insects and serving others. As the staff Entomologist for a large pest management company I have the ability to share my expertise with others to help them be more successful in their chosen profession.”
Created by the Georgia Pest Control Association, The James L. Allgood Jr. Award honors Jimmy Allgood’s commitment to the industry by recognizing the outstanding leader of the current Leadership Program class. It is awarded to one employee every other year who demonstrates strong leadership abilities, as well as a commitment to supporting the community.
Prior to joining the Active Pest Control family, Ramsey earned his Master’s Degree in Urban Entomology. While employed with us, he also became a Board Certified Entomologist (BCE); there are only 13 BCEs in Georgia, 7 of which are an active part of the workforce. We are honored that Glen has chosen to pursue his career with us — his knowledge and willingness to empower our team gives us a strong competitive advantage while allowing us to provide the best service possible for our customers.
